Frequently Asked Questions
- What does outseam length mean?
- Outseam is measured from the top of the waistband straight down to the bottom hem. A shorter outseam means more leg showing; longer gives more coverage.
- Do they run true to size?
- Yes — our shorts run true to size. If you normally wear a 32" waist, go with a Medium.
- What is the difference between a boardshort and an elastic waist short?
- Same premium recycled fabric and features (quick dry, UVP 50+, four-way stretch). Boardshorts have a flat waistband with velcro fly. Elastic waist shorts have a stretchy waistband — easier pull-on, more relaxed feel.
- Can I swim in these?
- Absolutely — all shorts are quick-drying, chlorine-resistant, and have UVP 50+ sun protection.
- How should I wash them?
- Machine wash cold, hang dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Rinse after saltwater or chlorine.
- Do I need a Reef Brief liner?
- Our shorts are designed to be worn without a liner. The Reef Brief 2-pack is optional and sold separately for those who prefer one.
